Laniyati Hamijoyo is a Rheumatology consultant at Internal medicine Department, Faculty of Medicine University of Padjadjaran Bandung, Indonesia. After finishing her residency training in internal medicine and magisterial of health education at the University of Padjadjaran, Bandung in 2005, she took her fellowship training in rheumatology at the University of Santo Tomas (UST) Hospital, Manila, Philippines and graduated in 2007, then continued her research fellowship program also in UST, before she returned to Indonesia. She received her medical science doctoral degree in University of Padjadjaran in 2020.
She has received several national as well as international awards such as International Scholarship Awards from Asia Pacific League of Associations for Rheumatology (APLAR) 2008, and Japan College of Rheumatology (JCR) 2007. Research Paper Award from the UST, Manila in 2007, Philippines Rheumatology Associations (PRA) in 2008, Indonesia Rheumatology Association (IRA) in 2008, Prodia Education and Research Institute (PERI) 2017, SHIERA 2018 and Awards from Central Java Governor for lupus research in 2017.
Currently she involves in several medical organizations, such as member of Asia Pacific Lupus Collaboration (APLC), co-convenor of Lupus SIG of APLAR, vice president of Indonesian Rheumatology Association (IRA), She actively involves in several national or international clinical trials and has done several studies, been author and co-author of several journals and books. Her main interest is in the field of Lupus, Spondyloarthritis and Gout.
