Dr. Surya Darma is a medical staff of rheumatology division of Internal Medicine Department, School of Medicine, Sriwijaya University in Palembang, South Sumatra, Indonesian and Dr Muhammad Hoesin Hospital, Palembang, Indonesia.
After completing his internal medicine training at Sriwijaya University School of Medicine, he works as a functional medical staff of Rheumatology in Departement of Internal Medicine, Muhammad Hoesein Hospital Palembang. He has interested in learning more about rheumatology because of many rheumatology and autoimmune cases in Palembang has not been treated properly. He is currently taking his Rheumatology Sub-specialist training at Sriwijaya University under supervision of Prof. Hermansyah MD, and Radiyati Umi Partan MD, PhD.
His major research interests are epidemiology, pathogenesis, treatment and clinical studies/trials for autoimmune and degenerative diseases including rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, osteoarthritis and osteoporosis
