Dr. Mahriani Sylvawani is an internist, rheumatology consultant, at general teaching hospital dr. Zainoel Abidin Banda Aceh.
She is a lecturer in the medical school of Syiah Kuala University, and serves as head of the Rheumatology division. She is a member of the Indonesian Rheumatology Association. Currently she also serves as treasurer at the Indonesian Internal Medicine association (PAPDI) in Banda Aceh branch.
After graduating from medical education at Islam Sumatera Utara University in 1997, she continued her education to become internal medicine specialist at medical faculty of Sumatera Utara University, and graduated in 2009. Subsequently, she received a Fellow of the Indonesian Society of Internal Medicine (FINASIM) in 2015. Then graduated from Rheumatology fellowship training in Indonesia University Jakarta in 2019.
After returning to Banda Aceh, she has been activly involved as a lecturer in the medical school of Syiah Kuala University, and has contributed to clinical practice and research for medical students, in internal medicine, especially rheumatology, such as systemic lupus erytematosus, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and gouty arthritis.
