Dr. Gede Kambayana is a rheumatologist, Department of Internal Medicine, School of Medicine, Udayana University in Denpasar, Bali-Indonesia. He is also a councilor of Indonesian College of Rheumatology.
After completing his medical education at Udayana University School of Medicine in 2005, he was appointed as a staff member at the Department of Internal Medicine at Udayana University. Subsequently, he engaged in clinical practice and research on rheumatic diseases, especially Hyperuricemia and Gouty Arthritis Related Factor, study epidemiology in Bali (2006-2012), Multi - Center, Randomized, Double-blind, Placebo Controlled Study of The Efficacy and Safety of Rilonacept for the Prophylaxis of gout Flares During the initiation of Allopurinol Therapy” ( Protocol IL1T-GA-0816 ) (2009-2010), Rheumatoid Arthritis : A Multinational, Multicenter, non interventional study in Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) patient treated with Tocilizumab (phase IV), Randomized Doubled Blind Placebo Controlled 52 Week Study to Asses Adverse Events of Special Interest in Adults with Active , Autoantibody-Positive Systemic Lupus Erytematosus Receiving Belimumab.
In 2006 he was doing his duty as medical doctor in Tolitoli General Hospital in Central Sulawesi, however in 2008 he returned to Sanglah Hospital and become staff at Rheumatology Division Department of Internal Medicine Udayana University/ Sanglah General Hospital until now. In 2012 he has received his Rheumatologist consultant from Indonesian Collegium of Internal Medicine.
